IMPROVING CONCENTRATION WITH NIVÅ AT IESE BUSINESS SCHOOL
IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain, collaborated with architectural firm ouieah¡ in their project to improve the cafeteria’s acoustics. The cafeteria serves as a meeting point as well as a place to eat or study, placing high demands on the sound environment. Gotessons’s ceiling absorbent Nivå was used on the entire ceiling of the cafeteria, absorbing sound from conversation, cutlery, scraping chairs and general noise made from around 1200 students, teachers and visitors. Nivå is made of our unique sound absorbing material EcoSUND and the varying thickness across the panel breaks up sound waves when they hit it, contributing to a softer sound.
IESE Business School is the graduate school in business management of the University of Navarra. Founded in 1958 IESE is a of the world's leading business schools and has four other campuses in Madrid, Munich, New York and Sao Paulo.
